The Writing's on the Wall

Picture 2

I came across these photos on Beach Bungalow 8 and had to post them. I think it's a brilliant idea, and the UK artist - Charlotte Mann - is clearly talented. I once had an office that had no windows. It was so depressing. How great would it had been to have something like this on the walls?

I'm (Letter)Pressed

Where I live:

And where I'm from:

I was browsing the Web in search of letterpress capabilities in the Philadelphia area, and came across these posters by Louella Press. I'm loving them and think the blank walls in my apartment would appreciate them! I'm all over the Internet these days looking for art. One of my resolutions for 2011 (not like I really make them) is to have fun and decorate my apartment. These would fit right in. If you have a moment, take a peak at their Etsy shop - lots of cute pieces!

While They are Young...

I am a fan of graphic design. Although I don't practice often, I have taken classes and dabbled in this fine and imaginative world. Some may even call me (yes, me!) a graphic designer.

Well, I also happen to be a big kid trapped in the body of a lovely and healthy young woman in her late-twenties :)

So when I saw the book Alphabeasties: And Other Amazing Types, I almost died. What a beautiful way design and learning has been combined in the creation of this book. I wish I had a book like this while growing up! It will definitely make it to the bookshelf of my son/daughter one day :)

Etsy Fun: studio3ten

I've been stuck at home for over a day now with a horrible root canal infection. I can't remember the last time I was in this much pain :-(

I've been doing a lot of sleeping, but today I'm coming up for air. What better way to cheer myself up than browse Etsy for the cutest, most unique handmade goods.

Today, the illustrations by Suzanne Millius of studio3ten caught my eye. I love the colors and patterns she uses, mixed in with affirmative statements. Right up my ally! Check out her esty shop to see all of her art work - I really like her I Love Being Me print.
